Exploring negative space

This summer, I documented natural areas in the Puget Sound region that are threatened by growth. I want to connect people to these wild places so that they might be protected. These shorelines, wetlands, trees and meadows provide habitat for wildlife & farm animals as well as giving us space to connect with nature.

After looking at watercolor prints, I explored using negative space to focus the eye.

I began looking for relationships to tell a story. This is a work in progress.
Which photos tell the story?
