Love, love your dog in the snow: the cocked ear, fur with icicles and the "just you and me" look is compelling. I keep going back to it. The snow simplifies the shot and brings out the warmth of her(?) eyes and fur. This portrait is a keeper!
The 2 snow images show how snow can be delicate or massive. They are a nice contrast. So much so that I want to zoom in to focus on the spindly trunks in one and the snowy rocks and barely visible creek in the other -- just a thought.
Thank you! I wasn't allowed to get closer to the creek as Thomas wasn't sure where exactly the creek was under the snow, and if we would be on ice or snow. I have a few different takes on the spindly trees, but the closer I got the less they looked like trees and I didn't like that.
I struggle with what best will convey the message and what to do about the rest. You're right, moving in too close could eliminate critical detail as well as fill your boots with water.

Well done, Caitlin!

Yes, safety first!
