It's all happening at the Slough 2

Did I mention I REALLY wish I had a 500mm lens? This is another shot at Famosa Slough... a 37-acre urban wetland/saltwater marsh. This Great Egret (Ardea alba) just caught a frog and was moving over nearer the reeds to have dinner. Would have been a great shot with BIG GLASS! Ha!

This great blue heron took off right in front of me at Famosa Slough in San Diego just about sunset, but I was contending with shooting over the top of a chain link fence. This image is cropped,... Oh for a 500mm lens!

Jade Buddha

The 4-ton Buddha, carved from a 9-ft. block of jade, visited Seattle's Co Lam Pagoda the last week in August drawing crowds of cameras and worshippers.

Paradise

25 hours in the car in a heat wave with no AC, twice over Whites Pass, four times over Chinook Pass, and setting the tent up with the wrong poles at 10pm
