Part II

Swans return to the valley, Jeanne's boots need washed and Ruby had to have a bath after the muddy tromp through the bird sanctuary!

WATER & HUMANS WATER & ANIMALS

My pictures are "Working at the Car Wash" and "Duck Hunting" imagined. I found an awesome bird sanctuary just 3 miles from my home! I drive by the exit every day but only now discovered it! What a beautiful place. To my surprise they allow duck hunters. They were there but camera shy so I figured since Ruby is a Spaniel (Bird Dog) that we could use our imagination. We needed lots of water to clean up when we got home. I am throwing in a picture of the Swans which have returned to the corn fields just below my home. They too, are awesome!

Dunlin Birds

The Dunlin is highly gregarious in winter sometimes forming large flocks on coastal mudflats or sandy beaches. Large numbers can often be seen swirling in synchronized flights on their stop-overs during migration or on their winter habitat.
I happened across these birds in a flooded farmers field on the Bow-Edison Road. There were 1,000's of them. Their chirping was awesome and seeing them in synchronized flight was awesome. There was no way to really capture it. I wish you all could have been there!

MY DISTORTED FAMILY

These are "Distorted" Family Pictures. We had lots of fun and laughs working on my project for this next class. Hope you like them too! A day trip to the local pet shop and an empty fish bowl became the inspiration followed by anything we could find when we got home! Scaaaaarrrrry!!!!!

THE TRUE SANTA, My DAD

In the year 1999 when my Dad was quite ill, confined to a wheel chair on oxygen and 33 medications he saw this snow globe at COSTCO in Albuquerque. He insisted on buying it on his own so he held it in his lap and went through the check out. When he got home he called me and told me excitedly that he had purchased a gift (only one of two in my lifetime that he purchased on his own) and that I had to come to Albuquerque to get it. I booked a flight and spent Christmas with my Mom and Dad. Dad died the following November so this has always been a truly special gift. I placed white canvases in a cupboard and filled it with pillow batting to appear as clouds. I captured a wonderful memory thanks to photography!

The Right Pear!

I added the wrong pear. Please delete the duplicate image of this picture. I tried taking the picture without a flash and I moved the camera so it is blurry. This is the one I meant to use. Thanks, Jeanne

FAVORITES

This month slipped away! I though I had at least one more and maybe two weeks to finish this project. All of my pictures were taken during Thanksgiving this year including my favorite of the train tracks from Gobel, Oregon. All of these desserts were made by my dear friends in Scappoose, Oregon where I spent Thanksgiving with them and my Son and family. Hope they will qualify since I didn't get my 25 per week in but I took 150 then!

BACK ON TRACK AGAIN

A trip to St Helens, Oregon for Thanksgiving brought me my first Photo for the December project. As I was driving home along the Willamette River just North of Gobel, Oregon I caught a scene that captured my heart. I almost kept driving but I turned around and back tracked a few miles to find the right spot and photograph what I had seen. It just seemed like such a beautiful and peaceful room in the surrounding country side.

A 5 MILE RADIUS (CIRCLE) FROM MY NEW HOME

A Saturday drive within 5 miles of my new home opened the world. When a person takes time to look it's amazing what you see.
The day was semi cloudy and it opened my eyes and the eyes of the camera to a wonderful neighborhood. There are places I saw that I know I will re-visit.
Welcome to Mount Vernon, WA

CIRCLES

A culvert in the side of a mountain on a trip over the North Cross provided my first circle.
A Camera in the ceiling of the Harbor View Hospital in Seattle Washington was an amazing find. The fixture hangs from the ceiling like a large round light fixture but when I took the picture it seemed to almost invert and capture a very large room full of images!

SILVER LAKE, WA

This tree caught my eye while taking the frog pictures and I really loved the way it photographed.
