Thanksgiving Day at Famosa Slough San Diego
It was fish for dinner instead of turkey!
Hope you all had a great turkey day. I spent several hours at the Slough making photos of the birds. The day before I even photographed an American bittern (rare to see them here) with orange eyes (eyes are only orange when they're mating). The bittern posed on a fence for me for about 15 minutes!
Awesome pictures and it sounds like you had a great day! That sky is so blue. . . . I don't think I would miss the gray we have here on a day like that! Happy Thanksgiving

Beautiful birds. I like that you moved in close so we can focus on the birds. Also like that you caught them in action, very nice!
