Chippewa River Trail
I made these photos in Wisconsin at New Years ... it was 21 degrees below zero, but gorgeous outside. This is frozen nose hair weather! It was a peaceful way to begin the New Year... fresh, clear, frozen air with Nature's frosting everywhere. Wishing everyone PEACE & JOY in 2010.

Definitely a winter wonderland! It looks so cold. I like the trail with cloud-branching and dark trunks best. It has depth and tonal extremes.
How wonderful to start of the New Year doing something so peaceful and serene and capturing the moment in such beauty. I too, like the second picture. It feels like you could just walk into it!
