This is an interesting group of images. Alexa has explored several different concepts, including depth of field when two subjects are a great distance from one another; the relationship of telephoto zoom to both depth of field and foreshortening (flattening); framing devices; color within an image.
This group of images would be a good group to practice the Aperture Priority (A or Av) mode on your camera. In the Aperture Priority mode, you choose the f-stop and the camera chooses a shutter speed to give you proper exposure.
Looking at the file info for these images, I see that they averaged around f 8. In order to maximize the depth of field, making both the sculpture and the house come into focus, one could have set to the smallest f-stop (f 22 or f 32). To use this small of an aperture, one would usually be shooting on a tripod or using a higher ISO.
I like the compositional juxtaposition of the yellow, red and blue. There is an interesting dynamic between the industrial look of the sculpture and the All-American look of the bungalow.
It looks like the white balance may have been set to shade. I would consider cloudy or daylight for a bit more neutral look.
