The tripod got a workout this weekend. Thomas did not know I had set up a photograph and I did not know if we were both in the shot or not.

We past this little pond a few times, and only one photo turned out

Exploring is fun! You don't know what you'll find. Taking a camera along to record your discoveries creates a memory tag and lets you share them with us. Terrific!
I like the patterns of the b&w beams and light shades, the shot that makes you think of your grandmother, the quiet pond and especially the shot of you and Thomas at a relaxed moment. Nice perspective.
Reading must be a late summer theme. It looks like you had a wonderful weekend together. You are doing a beautiful job of journaling your everyday life with your camera.
