This was shot through the windshield (at a red light, I was the passenger), post processing - had to take out a LOT of red and yellow hues cast by the red stoplight and the yellow from street lights and other cars.
So far, I've defined abstract as removing the personal while still conveying emotion: focus on essential details and flatten the image. Still searching for more ideas.
After harvest this year, i got in contact with the editor of a Washington Magazine called Wheat Life and submitted photos from the few weekends I spent on the farm with Thomas and gang. She loved this photo so much she had it published in the Your Wheat Life section of the magazine which hit mailboxes yesterday! Which mean I have now been officially published! :)
Small side note, It is Thomas in the photo and his pickup in the background.
Thomas and I went and explored a Historical Cemetery I didn't know existed less than 3 miles from my house. I played with some shutter speeds to create the ghostly figures in the first tow images. (tripod HIGHLY needed for these photos)
