Jade Buddha

The 4-ton Buddha, carved from a 9-ft. block of jade, visited Seattle's Co Lam Pagoda the last week in August drawing crowds of cameras and worshippers.

25 hours in the car in a heat wave with no AC, twice over Whites Pass, four times over Chinook Pass, and setting the tent up with the wrong poles at 10pm

Making lemonade

The original was overexposed, backlit with flash, emphasizing form. I played with Photoshop to see what I could make of a "lemon" shot.
